Monkeys in the morning, volcano afternoon

I almost over slept. My howler monkey alarm clocks were farther into the rainforest and I didn't hear them. But an early morning bird walk turned into a monkey-fest. About 10 white-faced monkeys were jumping around in the trees, checking us out while we were taking their pictures.

After breakfast, we drove to Arenal, stopping at Termales del Bosque for  a soak in the mineral hot springs. I could live in this spot!

After lunch, we drove to the Arenal Volcano National Park and hiked in the primary forest around the volcano. As we were leaving, the volcano spit out some steam for us.
